1. Popups for Divi plugin
Popups for Divi is a free plugin for creating popup windows that is available on the WordPress.org repository so you can add it via your WordPress dashboard and via the official Elegant Themes marketplace.
There are currently 80,000 active installations of the plugin with an average 5-star rating.
Once the plugin is installed and activated each section you add via the Visual Builder will have a new “Popup” tab in the settings.
The “Popup” tab has a toggle that allows you to turn the section into a popup modal and assign an ID to use as a trigger for links or buttons.
You can then build your popup within the section using the default Divi modules. There are setting options for closing popups on background click, closing other popups as a new one is activated, and opening popups automatically on exit intent.
You can register for a Divi Popups plugin course (in your WordPress Dashboard) that will teach you the basics of creating your first popup, how to customize your popup layouts, and further advanced techniques.
There is a Premium version available called Divi Areas Pro which offers additional features, functionality, and design options, but for many users, the features available in the free version will be sufficient.

The tutorial will show you each step of the process which involves adding a Divi button module to trigger the popup and building your popup using a Divi section, rows, and modules as required. You will then need to add CSS to style the popup and jQuery code to allow the button to trigger the popup and add click-to-close functionality to the modal.

Which method do you use for popup modals?
There are always a number of different methods to achieve your goals when building a website and there is often no right way to do things. Which method did you choose for adding popups to your Divi website?
If you have any comments on this post or have a live example of the Divi popup on your website you are welcome to drop a comment below.
#1 is a great basic option and will work for most people. give it a try and see. can always delete the plugin if it doesn’t work as you need. The next option is #4 and has some useful extra features. #5 was the 1st popup plugin for Divi but not sure it is the best anymore. always good to have options.
Hi, my wp site is built on divi. I am trying to put a leadpages pop up on my homepage, it is not a CTA but an advisory notice for my website visitors that I want them to see before going to the homepage. The CTA button takes them to my homepage after they have read the advisory and click “yes”. The pop up is built and working but I am trying every which way to paste the code into my homepage code and it won’t show up. How do I do that please?

I use the Popups for Divi plugin and it works great. thanks for the tips.
Thank you, Craig! I installed the option 1 free plugin and it works well. However, I want the popup to automatically close after X seconds. Is there a solution for this?
Thanks again!
Joe
not sure about this, but could ask here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/popups-for-divi/
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to create an image gallery with each image having it’s own individual pop up with info about the person in the image? Is that possible with the Divi gallery with a plugin added, or what is the best way to create an image gallery with pop up info about each image? Thank you
any of the popup solutions would work for this, but unless there is a lot of info needed then would look nicer without a popup. in general I hate popups and would not use them unless really needed.
