“How do i import Divi layouts to my website?”, i hear you ask.

Since the launch of Divi 2.7 ( updated 03-30-2016 ) there has been a change in how Divi layouts are handled and as such the ways to import Divi layouts has also changed. Layout files will be either an .xml for older pre Divi 2.7 layouts, OR a .json file for post Divi 2.7 layouts. You need to be running Divi 2.7+ to be able to import layout files using the .json file system.

1) Import Divi layouts created post Divi 2.7 using .json files and the Divi library importer.

If your layout file is .json, then it means that the layout was created using Divi 2.7 and you will need to import the layout file by going to Divi > Divi Library > Import & Export. You can’t import .xml files using this method.

2) Import Divi layouts created pre Divi 2.7 using .xml files and the WordPress importer.

If your layout file is .xml, then it means that the layout was created using Divi 2.6x or earlier version 2.7 ( Before March 2016 so very old now! ) and you will need to import the layout file by going to Import > WordPress. You can’t import .json files using this method.
