The Divi theme Builder was introduced in Divi version 4.0 and allows you to build templates and assign them to any pages or post types on your website. This new templating system is extremely powerful but can be a little hard to understand at first.
Elegant Themes have produced official documentation along with a number of additional useful resources on their blog and Youtube channel.
This post will show you 3 resources available to help you to understand how the Theme Builder works and teach you how to use it to create templates for your own website.
1. Theme Builder documentation
The official Theme Builder documentation is the best place to start and is available on the Elegant Themes website and offers a great overview of all the features available in the Theme Builder.
This page also includes a good Youtube introduction video (below) that will give you a good overview of the Theme Builder.

3. Download and learn from Theme Builder template packs
For me, inspecting the pre-made Theme Builder templates was the ah-ha moment when the Theme Builder started to make sense.
By downloading some of these free Theme Builder templates that have been created by Elegant Themes you can quickly see how they have constructed the various page templates and elements within.
Use the templates to see the best ways to use the Divi Woo modules, specific Theme Builder modules, or dynamic content when building your own templates.
There are currently 6 Theme Builder template packs and a number of individual Theme Builder templates available to download from the Elegant Themes blog, so this should be more than enough to help you see how things work.
Are you still confused about a Theme Builder feature?
It took me a few days to really start to get a feel of how the templating system works with Divi, so if you are still struggling, stick with it.
Just like when the new Divi Builder was introduced, it can take some getting used to, but the effort will be rewarded with a much more powerful set of tools available to create your websites.
You will also find a very helpful Facebook community over in the Divi Theme Users, Divi Theme Examples or any number of Divi Facebook groups where you can post any issues you may be having with the new Theme Builder.
